A GUIDE TO THE AREA
The Olive is truly blessed to be situated in the sprawling Mediterranean countryside, offering breath-taking mountain panoramas from all sides, giving its guests an unwavering sense of peace and tranquillity.
A short walk down a charming country lane will take you to Cala Llonga Beach, a secluded cove featuring powdery sand and sparkling turquoise water, adjacent to a charming beachside village which is host to array of eclectic restaurants, cafés, and shops.
Further afield, world-renowned beach club Amante awaits, one of the island’s most adored spots for its broad variety of leisure offerings. Enjoy a lazy lunch with friends, summery afternoon cocktails, or fine seafood dining under the stars. Make good use of the many special events, including cosy open-air cinema nights as the sun sets on another perfect day in Cala Llonga.
Alternatively, you can visit the culturally enriching pueblo of Jesús in only a few minutes. A 10-minute drive will take you into the heart of the cosmopolitan town of Santa Eulalia, and within 15-minutes you can arrive at Ibiza Town, home of glamorous boutiques, ultra-chic bars, and of course, the greatest nightlife experience the world has to offer. THE BEACH
Cala Llonga Beach is one of the island's most loved due to its fine powder sand and stunning horizon. The wide bay is blessed with sparking turquoise waters framed by dramatic cliffs at each side. This gorgeous beach is very popular with families as it is very shallow and therefore safe for swimming.
There is a pretty rustic jetty on the beach where there are several ferry boats per day to Formentera, Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia.
This postcard perfect horseshoe bay is dotted with a range of little boutiques, restaurants and cafe bars - everything from seafood to fine dining to vegan cafes together with traditional Spanish bars are all here and as Cala Llonga becomes more upmarket, there are under fashionable beach clubs and A-list boutique hotels on the way. SHOPPING
Cala Llonga’s minimally populated shopping district adds to its stripped-back island appeal, but it’s well-supplied with the essentials including a pharmacy, supermarket, boutique stores offering a wide variety of goods, and finally some fantastic
gift shops where you can buy presents to take home.
Each Thursday evening during the summer season, the promenade plays host to a small market featuring a selection of stalls selling
clothing, accessories, jewellery, and charming souvenirs.
ACTIVITIES
Despite the vibrant bar and club scene on the island, parents and the more relaxed couples too are spoilt for choice in activities to get involved in. If simply teasing your toes in the sand, cocktail in hand isn't quite enough to keep you occupied, romantic pedalo rides and even a diving school are readily available for the more adventurously minded.
If you prefer to stay dry however, you are more than welcome to try your hand at beach volleyball, a local favourite given the powdery golden sands. There are also mountain excursions and other therapeutic outdoor adventures to get involved with
at a moment’s notice.
NIGHT LIFE
The iconic island of Ibiza is commonly regarded as the single greatest clubbing destination the world has ever known. Take full advantage of that with efficient transport links that swiftly take you to some of the best clubs on the island, including Privilege, Ushuaia and Pacha to name

RESTAURANTS
Cala Llonga offers a superb choice of eateries, with many situated right on the beach or the promenade running alongside it, open all day to visitors.
Next to Cala Llonga is the small beach of Sol d'en Serra, with the famed Amante Ibiza beach club, where you can watch the full moon rise over the sea as you enjoy dinner. Built into the cliffside looking out over the Mediterranean, it has three tiers of beautifully-appointed dining areas, sun loungers, and laid-back bars. It's unsurprising that this is one of the most popular wedding locations on the island.
EXPLORING
If you wish to explore further afield by day, one of the most entertaining and relaxing means of transport is the small Tourist Train, leading you to a pleasant day-trip visiting nearby beaches or the famous hippy markets of the island.
Alternatively, local ferries transport you along the beautiful coast of the island to Ibiza Town, Santa Eulalia, and the Punta Arabí hippy market in Es Caná.
FORMENTERA
Formentera is the smallest of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s reachable by ferry, the port of which is a short walk away from The Olive. It makes for a popular day-trip destination in the summertime given its reputation for clear waters and long stretches of beach-backed by dunes and pine trees. Pastimes include snorkelling and sailing, with equipment rentals and boat charters available nearby.
